13.56MHz Resonant Wireless Power Transfer System <-Back
A resonant wireless power transfer system geared towards mobile device charging that I designed, built, and tested for my senior project.
The transmitter utilizes an analog self-tuning oscillator which drives a GaN FET half bridge. The receiver is fully passive and implements a non-linear bandpass response with varactor diodes. This helps to widen the bandwidth
of the receiver resonator and reduce coupling sensitivity. The system has a maximum transmit distance of about 7cm, and a maximum transmit power of 3W.
